Subject: Numeric note heads for singers

Where I'm having frustrations:

<http://www.hosorembo.com/Laura/Conqueror.html>

(e. g. Item No. 8. matching voices to notes)

---

I generate a brace by using a 'Piano Staff'

For instance,

I define my 'upper' and 'lower' staffs (staves?) music as a variable and then
insert them into my final 'score' part thus

\score {

  \new PianoStaff <<
    \new Staff = "upper" \upper
    \new Staff = "lower" \lower
                               >>

}

This gives me the brace (which is what I assume you mean here)

See 'Display bracket with only one staff in a system' at
