New score, middle of the line?

What's the right way to start a new score in the middle of a line?

The graphic attached shows the space between the end of the 5th and
the beginning of the 6th of the 69 Bach chorale melodies with figured
bass (Riemenschneider, ed, for example).

Because the 69 chorale melodies are only a couple of measures each,
it's customary to engrave them such that wherever one ends, there's a
space, and then the next one picks up, right in the middle of the
line.

But how to accomplish this in LilyPond? I've attached my attempt. It
is deficient in these ways:

1. There is no instrument name at before the beginning of the second score
2. There is no system start delimiter piano brace before the beginning
of the second score
3. There are no clefs at the beginning of the second score
4. The use of the skip between scores takes up metrical time and
continues the first score where it should instead stop; bar numbers
will continue into the second score instead of resetting to 1

For everything except the missing system start piano brace I think
there's a workaround; but I get the feeling there's a much, much
better way of structuring the \score { } block, or is there?

Trevor.
