TAB ornamentation sucks

I'm not liking the output I'm getting when I add a guitar TabStaff.

The only slur marks LP seems to allow are "H" and "P," but I would 
prefer slurs and glissandi.  How can I enable this?  Furthermore, the 
"H" and "P" are stuck in the middle of the staff, where they collide 
with stems; but that's a moot issue if I can simply do away with them.
