Indeed it does.  Thanks again.

The \markup feature seems to be working fine now.  As it stands at the
moment, all such \markup texts are centered above/below the block rest,
correct?  It would be most useful to have left-right control of the
justification of such texts.  A tempo marking, for example needs to be
left justified while a number of rests should be centered.

Also, is it possible to set the position of block rest numbers
globally?  I would like to put them all below the staff rather than
above.
