one of the projects i'm currently working on is rearranging a march from
the american civil war for a modern marching band. the thing is -- the
original version is written mainly for e-flat instruments -- a modern
band (here in austria at least) has almost only b-flat instruments
written in treble (tranposed to b-flat) and bass (natural in c) clef.

i was just thinking it would be great if lily could do this transposing
and generate lily-text. ok, i'm lazy, but i find it easier to read
lily-text when its in the same key i'm thinking in.

for the reason that i prefer to have all the music i'm working with in
lilypond in the same key, then transposing it to the different
instruments from the common key.
