In my opinion, we should fix the crashes we know about first, before
worrying about the particularities of Windows...

I'm not stripping any debugging symbols from the mingw binaries
(calling 'strip' on them is a no-op). It was previously suggested that
we need to create a PDB file, which I faintly remember is some sort of
standalone debugging format. I have no idea how that works. That said,
do you actually have a stack trace that could be decoded with the
information in there?
