[Lilypond-auto] [LilyIssues-auto] [testlilyissues:issues] #4677 NR - Iss

I've rebased this and put it back through review.

I originally put this back to 'needs_work' as I seem to recall that David did some checkin that allowed us to use certain characters (for example in \tag names) that were previously not allowed.

I did plan to accommodate that in the examples and add a changes.tely, but lack of time for me has ended up just postponing this entire patch - which started out as just improvements generally.

I cannot find that checkin (or even my email/comment) where I said I'd add the changes or remember even which checkin David did now that 'fixed' this previous limitation for variable names with numbers in them - I thought it was all in this tracker.

So I am putting this back out there to get the bulk of the improvements in the NR if nothing else.

If anyone can remember the checkin (there was also somthing about #f and ##f in examples - but that has its own tracker) so I can add at least a tracker for the changes entry (if it is not already in there by now!) then that woudl be very helpful.

From Federico Bruni:

[NR 3.3.2, Different editions from one source: \keepWithTag]

In the following paragraph:

Two or more \keepWithTag filters applied to a single music _expression_ will cause all tagged sections to be removed, as the first filter will remove all tagged sections except the one named, and the second filter will remove even that tagged section. Usually you would rather want to use a single \keepWithTag command with a list of multiple tags: this will only remove tagged sections not given in any of the tags.

do you think that the last sentence is clear?

I'd rather write:

this will only remove tagged sections not specified in the list

and

In this line of Documentation/notation/input.itely:

\tocItem \markup { Cesare. Presti omai l'Egizzia terra }

Egizzia should be changed to Egizia
