This is issue 721, and issue 36, with cross-staff beams.
Cross-staff things, in general, have to cross over objects that could lie
between the staves. So far, LilyPond does not have a system to determine
which objects can and should move to make room for the beam, such as
objects on the upper staff when the beam is crossing from a lower staff.
Things that might move to follow a cross-staff beam, like the dynamic 'p',
are also allowed to overlap objects that could be between staves.
