https://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=4103 @#1: Regarding the longish dots:The problem is that the dots aren't simply the line caps. When Line_interface::make_dashed_line is used to create dotted lines, lines equal in length to line thickness are produced and capped.
