Mhmm, most of my reports stem from real-world problems - in one of my  
compositions, I was irritated of seeing such overlapping whole notes.  So I  
have a *reason* I want to get this changed.

Of course, my own works are not representative, so I still ask for scans...

What about applying David's first patch to get on and leave the issue open  
fur future investigation?
