Alexander,

Rietveld is used for review that is true. To get a patch tested it has to  
go via the tracker - the two are only linked in the sense that if you want  
a patch to go into the code it has to be tested (i.e. this tracker) AND  
reviewed (i.e. Rietveld).

What I cannot guarantee is that if it is just posted up on Rietveld that it  
will advertised by the Patch countdown emails (which depend on the state of  
the tracker).

So feel free to continue having the conversation via Rietveld, then when  
the patch is read to test and go via the patch countdown before it gets  
merged into the main code, then use the tracker process.
