I'm marking this issue as invalid, ok? Because I don't see anything to work  
on...
To summarize:

1. .ly files are served as text/x-lilypond (and we are fine with that, we  
don't want to force it to simple text).
2. How the files are opened is handled by user's browser/operating system.
