This is a (possibly misguided) attempt to get slurs and ties to scale  
properly when using \magnifyMusic.  The slurs look fine (with one strange  
and subtle exception, circled -- also see Issue 3941).  The ties obviously  
need work, but I'm not sure I would know how to improve them.  See the
