You are right that this spot in slur-scoring.cc causes the problem.   
However, after looking at this some more, it's clear to me that the fix  
will be more complex.  The change you propose basically undoes a change  
that was introduced (see link in #3) to fix a collision.  That change lays  
the groundwork for dealing with dots, but the solution--add 0.2--is too  
simple, as space is added whether there is a collision or not.

Code needs to be added to look for a collision rather than assuming one.
