Comment #11 on issue 2909 by address@hidden: search bar of the website looks up only the development pages
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=2909I don't think it's possible to do this better, currently. After the 2.18.1 build, users on the 2.18 documentation pages will end up searching the 2.18 site. Users on the development pages will end up searching the 2.19 site. The only exceptions will be users on "neither" site (i.e. the web pages, as opposed to the documentation pages) will go to the 2.19 site. There's no "right" answer for this - if we update the syntax and they look at the old pages, we get complaints. If they look at the new docs and use the old version, we get complaints. If there is a solution, I would welcome it, but the solution I'm implementing does the best we can, IMHO. And don't forget that the docs themselves clearly mark which version they document, albeit users don't bother to read this.
