Hi Keith,

i don't have much time, so my comments will be short, but hopefully helpful  
nevertheless.

I've tested patchset 4 on a variety of scores - in particular, op.7-1 from  
Fried project (mentioned in the article about horizontal spacing problems  
on the blog -

Generally, the results are amazingly better!

Absolutely mind-blowing! :D

Even when applied to the "beautified" version of the song, there are some  
improvements (although one change is slightly to the worse):
