Many situations using side-position-interface can tolerate close placement,  
such as fingering sliding down a stem.  Of all the grobs using  
side-position-interface, only Script (fermatas, accents, turns,...) and  
TrillPitches seemed too tight.

'script-accidental-collision.ly' shows the effect
