What is the improvement on the regression-test PNG output?

I tried the patch on a score requesting a 15-pt staff, quantized down to  
14.454 pt (0.200 inch).  <http://k-ohara.oco.net/Lilypond/>

This makes the staff lines exactly (1/200) inches thick.  But stems, for  
example, are 1.3 times as wide as a staff-line, so stems do not seem to  
benefit.  The patch sets the same staff-line thickness for all staff-sizes  
up to 25-pt, and then doubles the thickness for 25-pt and larger staves,  
which would be a bit of a downside.
