That does not make a whole lot of sense to me. If one can't rely on "Prepare" arriving anyway and contexts must be able to get along without it, wouldn't it be saner to remove the "Prepare" event altogether? Where's the point in writing code that has to work whether or not a "Prepare" event elects to arrive? It seems better to just give the primadonna the boot and let the show go on without her if she can't be depended on anyway.
