New issue 3183 by address@hidden: Move transposition normalization to
toplevel-music-functions
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3183
Recasting transposed music to a permissable amount of accidentals is a
lossy process, so when juggling with transposing instruments and transposed
adaptions, it makes sense to do this process only at the final stage of
scorification.
Making this stage independent from the actual transposing process also
allows making it more intelligent to avoid enharmonic weirdnesses, and
makes it possible to let different rules be used for different purposes.
Changing transposition rules inside of a music stream, however, would
require sentinels or callbacks in the music to direct the normalization
processes.
