I have two requests related to barré:

1) please add a @cindex entry to the link above. Currently the index  
contains only a link to the fret diagrams  
(http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.17/Documentation/notation/common-notation-for-fretted-strings#index-barre-indications)

2) there are a couple of interesting snippets which make barring look nicer  
and easier to insert.
Why not adding one of them to this paragraph?
