Both LSR snippets http://lsr.dsi.unimi.it/LSR/Item?id=857
http://lsr.dsi.unimi.it/LSR/Item?id=616 claim to "Make an extender line for
string number indications"

however, there's no way to use them with a real LilyPond StringNumber
(\number) (or I couldn't find it) - is that feasible - this would allow to
use it with the usual grob interface?
