Patchy the autobot says: passes tests.  Only visible effect is removing the  
memory errors from bar-line-define-bar-glyph.log.  This may be lucky  
coincidence, but is likely not.  What is stored in those session  
variables?  Stuff that could trigger those errors?  If so, this is now  
likely under control.
