I found the reason for the misplacement in beam-feather-breaking.ly
and the likes:
the empty bar line was not "drawn" but the empty-stencil was used instead;
its x-extent (1.0 . -1.0) instead of the expected (0.0 . 0.0) was the
culprit. I hope this is the last round ... ;-)
