http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=2366I apparently failed at giving convincing technical hints concerning the build, especially tarball build (although testing what a "make dist" actually rolls after having applied to stable/2.16 the patch deleting THANKS might take less time and energy than the discsussion in this issue), so updating THANKS remains the only option left for 2.16. What I still don't get then is whether we decide to keep THANKS on the long run, as the only opinions on this so far are founded on whether a tarball rolling or build might fail.
