Good catch.  I knew the #\nl doesn't work.  So we need some scheme syntax  
that will split tokens at newline, or newline and carriage return, but not  
space.  I spent some time trying to get this working yesterday, and  
failed.  No doubt it would be trivial for someone with a better grasp of  
scheme.
