[libredwg] Missing Makefile.in?

I am trying to build libredwg (0.13) from source on a Raspberry Pi5 (Debian
12), and I get this error at the end of the ./configure script:
config.status: error: cannot find input file: `bindings/Makefile.in'
Is there something wrong with the libredwg-0.13.tar.gz file?
