Mh, as nobody answers, I give a few comments. Even though I have no idea about the state. The LLVM wrapper was once working with some older version of LLVM but the LLVM backend llvmec is only a skeleton. So I think it is not worth trying it or wait until it can compile itself.

I even tend to move the files to make the doc-generation eventually work.

On the other side I think it would be cool to have an LLVM backend if anyone is intersed: feel free to continue hacking on it!
