Hi,

I will try to exploit this only with
the due feeling of shame. :))

We'll see whether this yields more than an
interesting technical experiment.

Regrettably one will have to touch the system
dependent libcdio drivers in order to make sure
that transfer direction WRITE does work and to
implement direction NONE.
At least for Linux obviously nobody ever tried
to send an MMC command of those kinds.

I see in libcdio-0.82/lib/driver/
 aix.c bsdi.c gnu_linux.c netbsd.c
 os2.c osx.c solaris.c
One would probably be able to find out how
the NONE symbol is called in each of the systems.
The occurences of O_RDONLY are easy to find.
Either one needs O_RDWR or not. A matter of try.
But who will test ?

Who has an AIX or OS/2 machine with CD burner ?

Have a nice day :)

Thomas
