Shouldn't this be 
        AC_CHECK_HEADER(unistd.h getopt.h)
?
On systems that have both (e.g. GNU/Linux) HAVE_GETOPT_H will not get
defined in the former. Does including getopt.h on FreeBSD 4 after
unistd.h cause a problem?
