Yes, it's like that because I don't really want to delete links unless it's necesary...

Making them inactive allows us to still be able to make statistics or things like that...

There are really few cases in which you want to definitly delete data when a user requests it: you do a logical delete (making it inactive), and you preserve data...

Is there a reason why you don't use DELETE for these?
