Summary: Starting without terminal

Original Submission: Hello,

If I start KPortage using the run command in the kde menu, I can't merge any
packages. For so far I really like the program and I hope an upcoming version
can help me solve this problem.

Merging packages does work when I start it using a terminal.

In the example I used e2fsprogs, but I get the same error with every application

The errors I get:

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!

My idea is that it's missing the TERM variabele
