on the xml
<item>
<program>/usr/bin/firefox.sh</program>
<name>Firefox</name>
<desc>
<locale type='en'>Surf the Web</locale>
<!--<locale type='de'>Surfen Sie im Internet</locale>-->
</desc>
</item>
that segment can be replaced by a ref to a .desktop file for example
firefox.desktop.
1.) this way we don't have to maintain the translations
2.) we don't need to specify the commands manually
3.) keep the xml small and simple
4.) we need many paraments : icon / path/ run on console ... many other
stuff. so better to switch to xml + .desktop format
