Just to add I am using WinSCP on SFTP mode.

I switched to using SFTP mode in WinSCP and now get this error in the auth.log:

jk_chrootsh[26104]: ERROR: failed to execute shell /bin/bash for user thomas (1001), check the permissions and libraries of /home/sftp-server//bin/bash

I have no idea why it has the double slashes. Any idea greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there,

I have setup jailkit following the instructions that was written. . . and
after setting the protocol to scp as the primary protocol to connect I get
this in the auth.log

Dec  4 23:54:02 tcs1 jk_chrootsh[21136]: now entering jail /home/sftp-server
for user thomas (1001)
Dec  4 23:54:02 tcs1 jk_chrootsh[21136]: abort, failed to get group
information in the jail for group ID 1001: Success, check
/home/sftp-server/etc/group

I am not quite sure what this means. Any help would help.

Regards,

Wei-Yen
