Thanks for your reply (the only one I got ;-()

Maybe the bug only occurs with Konqueror 3.2 and has been fixed in 3.3?
When I get access to Konqueror 3.3, I'll try again the Konq/mtools 
interface.

Just in case the bug is related to the USB key, mine is a Packard Bell 
Audiokey 128Mbytes.
