I've just packaged GNUnet 0.4.1. It's mostly a bugfix release, but it also
has some nice additions, most notably that the hostlist is now downloaded
from ovmj.org automatically on startup (the URL can be configured and anybody
who can run an HTTP server could put up another hostlist, so it's not
hardwired in any way). This should make the initial installation and use much
easier.
Since we had the wrong endianess in the port-number, the protocol has
(unfortunately) changed again slightly, breaking 0.4.0 compatibility. Also, a
couple of segfaults and other problems (e.g. in the build process) were fixed.
On a related note, libextractor has been improved further, now supporting
keyword extraction from real, png, jpeg, html, gif, mpg and ogg formats. It
is highly recommended that you install libextractor (and in fact required for
the rpm). There is now also an RPM for libextractor on the libextractor
webpage (http://www.ovmj.org/~samanta/libextractor/).
