vc-dwim-1.7 released [stable]

From: Jim Meyering
Subject: vc-dwim-1.7 released [stable]
Date: Sat, 16 Mar 2013 06:39:46 +0100

This release fixes a minor bug with --author and bzr, and updates
the slightly risky[*] Makefile.in files from the previous release.

In case you're wondering what this package does, see
  http://www.gnu.org/software/vc-dwim/

Very briefly, there are two tools:
vc-dwim is a version-control-agnostic ChangeLog diff and commit tool.
vc-chlog is a helper tool for writing GNU-style ChangeLog entries.

Here are the compressed sources and a GPG detached signature[*]:
  http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/vc-dwim/vc-dwim-1.7.tar.xz
  http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/vc-dwim/vc-dwim-1.7.tar.xz.sig

Use a mirror for higher download bandwidth:
  http://ftpmirror.gnu.org/vc-dwim/vc-dwim-1.7.tar.xz
  http://ftpmirror.gnu.org/vc-dwim/vc-dwim-1.7.tar.xz.sig

[*] Use a .sig file to verify that the corresponding file (without the
.sig suffix) is intact. First, be sure to download both the .sig file
and the corresponding tarball. Then, run a command like this:

  gpg --verify vc-dwim-1.7.tar.xz.sig

If that command fails because you don't have the required public key,
then run this command to import it:

  gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 7FD9FCCB000BEEEE

and rerun the 'gpg --verify' command.

This release was bootstrapped with the following tools:
  Autoconf 2.69.77-845e7
  Automake 1.13a
  Gnulib v0.0-7896-gcbd4daf

NEWS

* Noteworthy changes in release 1.7 (2013-03-15) [stable]

** Bug fixes

  vc-dwim now applies --author= for ChangeLog-derived name/email for bzr,
just like it has always done for git.
