CVS over plink: Unable to read standard input |

I've been using CVS over plink from my Windows box for a couple years
with no trouble.
Starting recently, when I run a cvs command, it appears to work, but
when it finishes, I get a message on the terminal:
Unable to read from standard input
Any thoughts on why this is occurring? I can do a simple "plink host
echo hi" without getting the message. I'm not sure whether the problem
is cvs(nt), plink, or some combination thereof.
Thanks,
