Alex,
NAS drives, Samba shares and NFS mounts share the same basic problems -
they are not generally reliable enough to trust your repository to.
Search the info-cvs newsgroup for NFS and/or Samba for more detailed
information. SAN's (including iSCSI SAN's) are generally OK.
If you are using CVSNT (free/GPL, Windows/Linux/Mac/Unix) then please
post your questions to the CVSNT newsgroup.
Regards,
Arthur

Subject: CVS and NAS Drives
Hi guys...
Had the insane Idea to setup a remoted wireless NAS Server to keep
backups and repositories... May be the answer is obvious, but I want to
ask it the same... Can CVS manage from a PC ( Win XP Pro ) repositories
on a NAS by network...? Any requirements...? Any problems..?
tnx
Alex
