Subject: | sticky date on added/removed files not removed by cvs update -A |

We are running version 1.11.17.
After an update (merge) using cvs update –j –j my entries file might look something like:
/lx_drwho.nb/1.5/Fri Jun 25 01:14:55 2004//D2005.11.02.18.51.39 /lx_express.nb/0/Thu Jun 24 07:03:01 2004//D2005.11.02.18.51.39 /lx_inn.nb/-1.13/Fri Aug 6 10:23:56 2004//D2005.11.02.18.51.39
Where lx_express.nb is a newly added file and lx_inn.nb is a file that was removed.
After cvs update –A these will look like:
/lx_drwho.nb/1.5/Fri Jun 25 01:14:55 2004// /lx_express.nb/0/Thu Jun 24 07:03:01 2004//D2005.11.02.18.51.39 /lx_inn.nb/-1.13/Fri Aug 6 10:23:56 2004//D2005.11.02.18.51.39
A cvs commit will fail with these last 2 lines in the Entries file.
This looks like a bug to me. Has it been fixed? Or, is there a reason for this behavior?
Thanks for any information about this problem.
Roy
