Dear All, I was just wondering is there any need of special precautions/steps for taking the Linux repository backup on win 2000 server. I have CVS running on WhiteBox Linux machine. Any suggestion/comments will be very helpful.
Just make sure that your backup process does not perform any line-ending translations - RCS files (and therefore CVS files) are defined to always use only LF (ASCII 0x0A) as the line terminator. Other than that, I can't see any problems with that combination of environments.
