No, I mean "do not poke around with the CVS/Entries file".
If you get into that situation, then the solution is to (a) go rap
somebody's knuckles, then (b) fix the collision in the repository.

I would disagree completely with that statement. I've been using CVS on
Windows, with a UNIX server, for over 8 years, and I have never "had" to
fiddle with the Entries file. There have been occasions where tweaking the
Entries file was the quickest way to accomplish what I wanted, but those
times are quite rare.
