Ahhh, I forgot about that one :-) I think this is a
feature that's been inherited from RCS and isn't
guaranteed to be there in the future. OTOH, noone's
been serious about removing it.
Anyway, since anyone can remove the lock, I think it's
still more like an advisory lock.

The patch is available on SourceForge under project
RenegadeCVS.
Last I heard, it's been slated to be added to the
standard release, but that was several months ago.
