Hi
Thank you very much for your response.
I wanted to know how to prevent direct access to the
repository for the developers. All developers have
login access to the server where the repository is
located;and since they all belong to the same group to
which all repository directories belong, anyone can
delete files from repository directly by logging on to
the server. If we change the group of the
developers, then how can they checkin/checkout?Can you
suggest how to get around this??
My project manager wants to restrict developers from
add/delete files into the repository even thro' cvs
commands. He also wants me to justify to the developers
as to why we should do this!!Hence I am searching for
the same. Can you suggest any reasons which might occur
to you?I can only think of
1.Developers added files/directories in the wrong
location and then asked me to correct it.
2.Not using proper options like -kb and keyword
expansion options.
3.No proper documentation and approval from the
manager for the additions/deletions.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions in this
regard.
Thanks again for all the time,
Anita Chacko
