RE: HELP! I can't access pserver

Thanks, but all I did was insert an additional --allow-root= stmt.  When I
removed it, I could access the repository again.  With 2 --allow-root stmts,
the line naturally wraps, but I didn't insert a return.  The server is CVS
1.10 running on Solaris 5.6, any other thoughts?

That means the line in inetd is wrong.  You probably left off the "pserver"
command.  Another possibility is that you tried to break the command in
inetd.conf into two lines?  Test the command on a command line until you can
get it to reply with the "bad auth" stuff when you hit return.  Then copy it
back into inetd.conf.
