Was a bit difficult to understand how it works, but now everything's fine. I've dealt with the fact that the layout coordinate boundary values change at every computation by including them as factors when computing the vertex sizes.

Hi Yannick,

you can use the 'rescale' argument of plot (plot.igraph really), see
?igraph.plotting. If you set this to FALSE, then the plot is not
rescaled to (-1,1).

You'll need to adjust vertex sizes and xlim and ylim, but it should
work after that.
