it seems that you are using the system ARPACK. Please compile igraph
with its internal ARPACK routines instead.

In case you have installed igraph from a Debian/Ubuntu package and you don't want to recompile igraph just because of this, you may also try the updated packages from our package archive, these should fix the issue:
