Nathan,

download igraph 0.5.2-2 from CRAN, i.e. type

install.packages("igraph")

into R. (If you still get the old version, then choose another mirror,
Austria should work.) That is fine with R 2.9.0. I will create a 0.6.
package soon and also upload R package 0.5.2-2 to the igraph homepage.
