[igraph] kick-starting igraph

Hi all,
I am new to the list, and to igraph. I have downloaded the R version
(Linux). After unpacking and running "./configure", I would like to
know what should I do now to effectively starting using the codes.
Basically, I would appreciate some instructions on how to load a
graph, descriptions of the input file, etc. After loading it properly,
I want to analyze the power law fit, make some plots etc.
