Before you run the book through Docbook2x you need to canonicalise
the XML, replace any XML entity references and resolve the
xincludes. This should give you one monolithic XML file that you
can feed into Docbook2X without any problem.
Noah, can you just post your monolithic XML, since obviously you've
succeeded in creating it? And the resulting Texinfo, if it really does
go through docbook2x "without any problem"? And, if you want to be
really complete :), the precise commands so it can be reproduced?
That'll be much easier to learn from, and meanwhile, we'll all be able
happily info-browse the subversion manual :).
